     Welcome to At Home In Your Home.  My name is Susie.  This is my blog about my adventure in making our apartment our home.  There is nothing more wonderful than walking in to someone's house and instantly feeling like you're in your own home.  This is the kind of atmosphere I want to create.  I love being at home!  I'm on a never-ending journey to make my home even homier!  At Home In Your Home will cover everything from organization, baking, meal planning, DIY projects, party and event planning ideas, to at-home date night ideas, thoughts on hospitality, and everything I am learning about becoming the woman God wants me to be.

     Here's a little bit about myself: I'm 23 years old and married to my best friend, Austin.  We have a wonderful dog that we love way too much!  Her name is Bella and we have been blessed enough to have her in our lives for almost a year now.  We adopted her from the SPCA when she was about a year and a half.

     I went to Liberty University and graduated with a degree in Religion, specializing in Women's Ministry.  I am a born again Christian and hope that the Lord will use this blog to help me share His love with other people.

    I love my husband, my dog, my wonderful family, chocolate, baking, having a clean house, my planner, the beach, vacations, learning, reading, playing the piano, working out, developing a healthy lifestyle, fashion, crafts and DIY projects, Pinterest, Starbucks dates with my man, Christmas, finding great deals, and fresh flowers.

     Some of my favorites:

Color- gray, yellow, and blue.

Food- Pretty much anything Italian

Books- I love to read so I have a lot of favorites but one of my current fav is "So Long Insecurity" by Beth Moore

Vacation so far- Honeymoon in Jamaica and Disney with my family

Cake and Icing combination- for eating: chocolate frosting with white cake; for decorating: butter cream frosting with any kind of cake :-)

Drink at Starbucks- I'm not a coffee fan so I like their Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino and Passion Tea Lemonade.

Movie: Dear John, Safe Haven, The Vow, Tangled, The Notebook, P.S. I Love You, pretty much any girly movie

TV Show: My hubby and I are obsessed with How I Met Your Mother. I also love One Tree Hill.  I love Netflix!

     My dreams and goals in life include having a family one day, going to Europe, traveling as much as possible, helping people, being organized, baking as often as I can, being healthy, becoming the best wife, daughter, sister, friend, and one day mother that I can be, and growing closer to God every day.
